We want to tell you a story about our ancestors, our dear grandparents.Immigrants from Spain, they came to Costa Rica and decided to stay in teh province of Cartago. Since they arrived at our country they dedicated their lives to farming and agriculture.
Our grandparents continued working with the same traditions they were taught in Spain, that’s the reason that today we can find many traditional products farmed on the area, their heritage to our parents generations and ours.
The main building was built in 1978 made with wood of over 100 years of age, made from both o their old houses. They re-used steal, wood and other building materials and moved their houses from downtown Cartago to its current location.
The garden was looked after by our grandmother, the roses were legendary in the area; now we take care of them as part of her legacy.
That´s why at Grandpas´ Hotel we try to resemble a home like service, because this was our home, and our grandparents. As part of our heritage we enjoy sharing with love and enthusiasm that this place has to offer, we hope you enjoy it too.
