Our stay in Grandpas´ Bed and Breakfast (or by better saying, in Gustavo's house, because it is really as home) has been an unforgettable and pleasent experience. It's an ideal place to relax, seeing clouds our height or even underneath. Also it's like the departure center for many and interesting excursions (Irazú Volcano, Cartago Downtown, The Valley of Orosi, Tapanti National Park, etc.). But the best thing is to feel magnificently taken care of by Gustavo and Edgar, to share interesting conversations with them. Of course, without losing the atmosphere of own and connected home to the world through Internet service. Absolutely recommendable!.

Well, I found that place during my stay of little less than 3 months in Cartago-Costa Rica; after a trip that initiated in the morning from the arrival at the airport of Mexico city at 4 in the morning to a three hours airplane trip to Costa Rica which lasted until the 10a.m. and after the typical eventful journeys that we all find in every airport of the world, where we have to avoid all the taxi drivers to charges us excessive fares when we arrived at a unknown country, then I arrived almost at noon after a tired route from home to a place in where the cordiality of my host Gustavo whose received me to the car and who always give me the welcome with a smile in the face and infecting that good humor and spirit that characterizes him, producing that attenuated mental stress that can cause all trip that involves a long stay. He immediately guided me to my room so I can rest, it was a space where the style of the furniture, the scenery and the architecture of the house inspire a sensation of tranquillity and comfort difficult to express with words, and after unpacking some things I arranged myself to know the house of Grandpas' Bed and Breakfast, located in the skirts a volcano with an impressive Vista to a mountain landscape.

With days passing by and getting known and treating every day more my hosts, I could realize that not only could find in them people in charge to administer and to operate the hotel, and also friends who during those almost three months made me feel at home and they became part of my family, my Tica family as at the end of my trip we commented; in that atmosphere of confidence and brotherhood they celebrates my birthday and many days of joys and pains, but always with the certainty of knowing me between friends, not only with them, but also with many of the guests who got to lodge there and the own atmosphere of the hotel promoted the coexistence between all who were there.

Days run until my return to my mother country, to my house, in that so particular atmosphere and cheers, where at any moment there was something good to remember; well there is so much to tell, that to only it reduces me to say that there is million anecdotes that could comment, but with the desire of a nondistant day to be able to return to my Ticos friends; to those who were there know well what I mean, and to those who have not had the opportunity I only can say to them that when visits C.R. they have to visit Cartago and stay in Grandpas'.
